I understand that participation in Empower to Educate does not guarantee licensure as a family child care program or a child care program.

I understand that Empower to Educate is a government program and data collected through the program is subject to certain data privacy laws including the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13.

I understand by participating in this program, I will be asked to share information about myself and/or my child care program, which will be used to determine eligibility for services and benefits. I may choose not to share, and this may impact services received.

I understand that Empower to Educate staff are not representative of the state, county, or tribal licensing departments, and that DCYF or a respective tribe holds all regulatory control and responsibility for licensing decisions.

I understand that Empower to Educate is funded by DCYF through third parties, and data collected is subject to certain data privacy laws including the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13. Child Care Aware of Minnesota staff and DCYF may share my information with each other, with their contractors who need this information to do their jobs, with researchers conducting evaluations of Empower to Educate and related programs, and as otherwise authorized or required by law. All data submitted and collected, on paper or electronically, related to my or my program’s Empower to Educate participation including the supports my program and staff receive, both financial or otherwise, may be shared.
