New Resources Highlight State Action on ECE Policies

Our national Child Care Aware of America office has released two new resources that compare state progress on early childhood policies.

The first is a short publication, “State Session Round-Up: Summer 2025,” which highlights legislative action across the country in seven key policy areas, including:

  • Increases in overall child care funding
  • New child care funding streams
  • Flexible grants to support child care operations
  • Compensation and workforce support efforts
  • Public-private partnerships
  • Alignment with the 2024 CCDF Final Rule
  • Changes to child care regulations

The second is an interactive State Policy Dashboard where users can see which states have passed which policies. The dashboard is updated regularly as new policies are enacted.

These tools are a great way to compare what we’ve accomplished in Minnesota to other states, and to see areas where different states have taken actions that we have yet to do.
