Join us on Thursday, May 21 at 1:00 p.m. CDT for our TELL Talk with guest speaker Teya Dahle, Childhood Mental Health Consultation Coordinator for the Minnesota Department of Human Services’ Behavioral Health Division, to learn about Minnesota’s Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation system. Teya will explore what Mental Health Consultation is, how it benefits children, their families, and early childhood educators, and how early educators can participate. We will also discuss common themes that are emerging in Mental Health Consultation sessions around COVID-19, such as the impact of stress on children, families, and those providing child care services.
Please come prepared to think together about the following questions:
- What are some challenges children or staff are experiencing related to the pandemic?
- Name a time you completely forgot about COVID-19. What were you doing?
- Name an unexpected positive that has come out of this period of quarantine?
