Quality Improvement Rating Administrative Specialist

Position Description

The Quality Improvement Rating Specialist position supports staff in Child Care Aware of Minnesota's Quality Improvement Program Rating process. This position reports to the Rating Manager and is part of the Rating Team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Process paperwork related to the Parent Aware Rating Process
    • Scan and process child care program applications and participation agreements.
    • Review materials for accuracy and scan and upload complete documentation.
  2. Provide needed materials for Parent Aware Rating participants
    • Produce and send rating packets, including detailed rating information, information about Parent Aware policy about rated programs, and certificates.
    • Respond to customer service inquiries regarding Parent Aware when appropriate.
  3. Perform other administrative duties related to the implementation of the Parent Aware Rating process
    • Ensure that applicant documentation is available in a secure and organized manner for ease of access.
    • Consistently follow the data retention schedule and data privacy procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of related work experience
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills with experience with Microsoft Office products, software systems, and databases
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Demonstrated intercultural competency skills and experience working cross-culturally, with a commitment to incorporating the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion into work

 

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, an average of 40 hours a week, depending upon the need
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Family-friendly work culture
  • Primarily on-site with some hybrid hours
  • May require sitting or stationary position for extended periods

 

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range

  • Hiring range of $16.00 – $18.80 an hour depending on qualifications, plus up to an additional $2,000 a year for lifestyle expenses

Empower to Educate Coordinator

Position Description

The Empower to Educate Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day operations of Empower to Educate (E2E) and the Empower to Educate Mentorship Program. Empower to Educate is a statewide capacity building initiative designed to support individuals to begin, advance, and sustain their career goals in child care and early childhood education. In this role, you will support a statewide team of Workforce Advisors who meet with Empower to Educate participants and provide individualized career and education advising, job skills training and placement assistance, financial support, and mentorship opportunities. This position requires a deep commitment to and understanding of anti-racism and a passion to collaborate and connect with internal and external partners in the pursuit of an equitable, just early childhood system that meets the needs of all children, families, and educators in Minnesota. This is a full-time position and reports to the Empower to Educate Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides support to Workforce Advisors and Dual-Role Advisors at the CCAoMN District Offices and MNTRECC
    • Co-hosts virtual, 5-part orientation to onboard recently hired Workforce Advisors with support from the E2E Manager
    • Schedules and hosts monthly individual Advisor check-ins in collaboration with Professional Development staff
    • Co-hosts monthly Statewide Advisor Team Meeting in collaboration with the Professional Development staff
    • Utilize equity and inclusion practices to provide Advisors with the information and resources needed to fully support participants in the program
    • Provides additional support to Advisors as needed
  1. Manages the E2E inbox and caseload distribution of participation forms
  2. Coordinates the Empower to Educate Mentorship Program with the goal of expanding program reach and impact.
    • Utilize outreach and recruitment strategies to connect with prospective E2E Mentors and Mentees
    • Schedules and conducts onboarding screenings with prospective Empower to Educate Mentors
    • Schedules and conducts virtual E2E Mentorship Program Orientation as needed
    • Schedules and hosts bi-monthly E2E Mentor Community Check-Ins
    • Coordinates the Mentor and Mentee 6-month pairing process
    • Available to provide additional support and problem-solve with mentors
  1. Support the organization’s mission, vision, strategic plan, and anti-racism goals by participating in activities and professional development opportunities.
    • Participate in staff meetings and, as needed, participate in workgroups or task forces to assist with achieving the organization’s goals
    • Implement the organization's strategic plans by embedding the goals into everyday work
    • Participate in professional development activities to strengthen your understanding and skills around diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, social work, education, or related field to meet the qualifications to receive a step 10A on the Minnesota Career Lattice
  • Knowledge of early childhood education and the early childhood education and child care workforce in Minnesota
  • Knowledge of career development and continuing education options in Minnesota including higher education systems, the Child Development Associate credential, options for English Language Learners, options for completing a high school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated intercultural competency skills and experience working cross-culturally, with a commitment to being anti-racist and a commitment to incorporating principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion into your work
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of data systems and working knowledge of all basic MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to support and lead a team
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Hiring range of $43, 617.00- to $51,251.00 annually plus an additional $2,000 a year for lifestyle expenses
