Good Teaching is Good Teaching Anytime- An Introduction to Teaching Online
In this course you will examine best practices of adult education and how they transfer to online education. Specific focus will be on adult learning theory, environments and implementation into online education. You will become familiar with how to promote effective communication with specific focus on individualized approaches for the students
Teaching the Art of Training, Part 1: Delivery Skills
In this course, participants will become well equipped to deliver pre-designed curriculums. Included in this course is a discussion of trainer competencies, adult learning basics, and facilitation skills, as well as consideration of the impact of culture, communication, and presence on training effectiveness. The course design also includes a Personal Development Plan (PDP) built into each section, to enhance the transfer of learning and encourage self reflection
Teaching the Art of Training, Part 2: Design Skills
In this course participants will be introduced to the principles associated with designing content-based training. Among other topics, participants will develop training objectives, discuss the use of the learning cycle in training design, and consider evaluation strategies for measuring the effectiveness of a training session. Participants will apply their knowledge using the Training Approval Request form developed by the MN Center for Professional Development.
